Introduction
An Introduction of The Affiliated High School of Yunnan Normal University
Gaoxin No. 1 High School (Gaoxin No. 1 High School)
Gaoxin No. 1 High School is a joint venture program between the Affiliated
High School of Yunnan Normal University and the High-tech Area. It is
a state-owned and people-run high school approved by the education administration
departments. It is established in answer to the country's call ---"Better
schools educate more talents". The establishment of its junior high section
has filled the blank that there was no junior high school in the past
High-tech Area. And its senior high section follows the tradition of the
Affiliated High School of Yunnan Normal University (AHSYNU), extending
AHSYNU's greater influence to the society.
Ever since the foundation in July 2004, it has been concerned a lot
by the provincial and the municipal leaders. It also received the principals'
training groups and international education groups several times. All
this were sung very high praise! Since the school started, its teaching
and management are universally acknowledged by the students, their parents
and the society. Last semester, our junior high students attended the
Standardized Test of Kunming City, and our senior high students attended
the Standardized Test of AHSYNU. They all got excellent grades.
The school occupies an area of 70 acres with the setup of the first-class
provincial standard, unique architecture style (architecture of European
style), beautiful campus, complete and sound infrastructure facilities
and excellent conditions for running a school: The multifunctional main
teaching building; bright and spacious classrooms, library and the students'
reading room; the advanced intranet, the multimedia classrooms, the computer
classrooms, the e-reading rooms and the lecture hall; the well-found physics,
chemistry and biology labs; the modern basketball and football courts,
indoor gymnasium and plastic track and field sports ground, the students'
apartments, dining hall and the logistic building. The beautiful and modern
school is an ideal place for students' study and growth and it will become
a new type of school with precise teaching, decent style of study and
talents continuously emerging.
The president is responsible for running the school under the leadership
of the board of directors. The board consists of Mr. Zhu Yongsheng (the
Deputy General Manager of the National Land Resource Company), Mr. Guanlei---Director
(the Party Committee Secretary of AHSYNU) and Miss Yang Shufen---Director
(the President of AHSYNU). And the President is Mr. Yang Qisheng--- the
Honorary President and Deputy Director of Management Committee of AHSYNU.
Under his leadership are a group of leaders from AHSYNU. In the prime
of their career, they are dedicated to Gaoxin No. 1 High School with many
years of teaching and managing experience. Together with them are some
respectful and reputable Special Class Teachers, High Class Teachers,
Subjects Leading Teachers at both provincial and municipal level, as well
as those excellent teachers who have won awards in various kinds of teaching
contests. Also, we have recruited a group of excellent teachers with the
requirements of AHSYNU from in and outside Yunnan Province. Therefore,
Gaoxin No. 1 High School comes down with the tradition of AHSYNU. It's
a branch of AHSYNU.
